Woman to Woman

Woman to Woman is a new ASU Hillel initiative that will provide Jewish women at ASU with friendship, leadership experience, Jewish education, community service opportunities, and mentorship in a warm, supportive community. Through bi-monthly gatherings Woman to Woman offers a dedicated space and time for Jewish ASU women to reflect on what it means to be a Jewish woman navigating the ups and downs of college life. We’ll explore relationships, the stories of female CEOs, work-life balance, hidden female figures in Jewish history, and much more!
Meets twice a month from September through April:
1 learning session per month with a prominent Jewish woman
&
1 social or service event planned by 2 students
Plus!
1 weekend spiritual and mindfulness retreat in April at a nature camp in Northern Arizona
Attendance
Attendance is not mandatory. Instead, every session is equal to a discount to be applied towards the retreat cost. If you come to all sessions, your retreat will be free!
Rosh Chodesh
According to kabbalistic teachings, women share a special relationship with the moon and as such they have special reason to celebrate Rosh Chodesh, the new moon and the first of the Hebrew month. With this tradition in mind, the dates for our learning sessions have been chosen to correlate with the first of the Hebrew month.
Retreat
1 retreat in April on the theme of "Spirituality and Mindfulness." We'll travel up to a campsite in Northern Arizona!
The 2017-2018 dates are:
Tuesday August 22
Friday October 20
Monday November 19
Wednesday January 17
Thursday February 15
Saturday March 17
Sunday April 15
Retreat date in late April TBD
