Student Stories
"I got involved with Hillel after going on Hillel’s Winter 2018 Birthright trip. This was a life-changing experience for me, that allowed me to connect deeper with my Jewish identity and make lifelong friends. I love Hillel because it provides me a place to celebrate being Jewish and connect with other Jews on campus."
-Gabby Litevsky, Vice President of Student Outreach at Hillel and current student "I didn't go to Hillel much during my freshmen year, but after I went on Birthright with ASU Hillel, I came to a reunion Shabbat dinner for my group and started meeting more people at Hillel. I brought a friend of my own, started hanging out there more and love the community. For me, a perfect Hillel is a place where everyone is welcome, kind, and able to practice their own version of Judaism or other religion without feeling inferior or like a ‘bad’ Jew. Now I applied to be an intern so I can play a larger role in building community."
-Rachel Nahon ‘16, former Challah for Hunger President and graduate of Hillel's Montefiore Leadership class |
