Staying Healthy at Hillel
Covid Update Fall 2022
All students will have the opportuity to review the following statement prior to participating in Hillel at ASU events:
I commit to serving myself and my community through this health covenant I enter into with my community. Just as I am committed to engaging in a safe space for Jewish exploration and learning on my campus, so too do I commit to maintaining this space as a safe, healthy place for myself and others. With deep gratitude for the ability to be vaccinated, I will participate in all Hillel gatherings knowing I have taken precautions to prevent the continued spread of Covid-19. With a commitment to wearing a mask in crowded public spaces and frequent handwashing, I enter all Hillel gatherings knowing I am sharing space only with others who have promised the same.
By engaging in a Hillel community event, I agree to participate in and abide by all safety protocols implemented on site. Hillel at ASU reserves the right to implement a Covid-19 policy at any time. This may include up to (but not limited to): wearing masks in public spaces, practicing social distancing, providing proof of negative COVID-19 test at attendee expense, providing proof of prior vaccination, temperature checking, completing health check questionnaires, etc. I agree NOT to attend any Hillel program in person if I am experiencing or exhibiting any COVID-19-related symptoms as outlined by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), such as fever, dry cough, or shortness of breath. For a list of symptoms from the CDC please visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html.
I agree NOT to attend a Hillel experience if I have become recently exposed to a person with a positive and confirmed case of COVID-19. I acknowledge the contagious and evolving nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to the virus and become infected as a result of my attendance at a Hillel gathering. I understand that not following the guidelines set by Hillel at ASU for in-person programming may result in my being asked to leave and I will be responsible for any expenses that may be incurred as a result of this.
