Kol Yisrael
What? Looking to learn more about Israel and Israeli people, culture, food and music? Join ASU Hillel’s Kol Yisrael cohort– a 6-week interactive class led by Devin Davidson. This is a great way to explore Israeli history through its food and culture, explore the unique aspects of Israeli art, geography, and culture through cooking Israeli food, unpacking Israeli music and social life, all while meeting new people!
When? Tuesdays @ 6:30 (6 weeks long)
Who? Any ASU Jewish undergraduate student who wants to learn about Israel in a fun and social way. No previous background necessary. Birthright alumni are encouraged to apply and invite your friends to join you!
Stipend: Any ASU Jewish undergraduate students who attend at least 4 out of 6 weeks are eligible to receive a $150 stipend. If you miss more than 2 sessions, you will not be eligible for a stipend.

Dive into downtown
What? Are you a downtown student interested in exploring the downtown area? Dive into Downtown is an AMAZING opportunity to meet fellow downtown students, get to know DT Phoenix and even better… it’s all paid for! Dive into Downtown will be full of exciting experiences and opportunities made JUST FOR YOU! Dinner provided. This cohort will be led by our incredible downtown chair, Kayla Schwartz and will begin in going to our Annual Phoenix Suns X Hillel event.
When? This cohort begins on January 29th and will take place on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 (for 6 weeks), plus one Shabbat on 3/28.
Who? Preference will be given to downtown students! Whether you are in nursing, journalism, medical studies, etc. we would LOVE to have you join us for Dive into Downtown. Although, all other ASU students are welcome to sign up as well!

Our Social Impact Series is a unique opportunity for YOU to engage in direct service opportunities with some of our incredible community partner organizations. Join us if you are a student who is interested in the social justice or social impact space! We are excited to provide more opportunities at Hillel for you to learn about Social Impact through a Jewish lens. This cohort is led by our Community Engagement Manager, Shira Khotim and our Social Impact Chairs: Valerie Smith + Hannah Rubin!
Timing
Fridays from 12:30-2:30 PM for 5 weeks beginning on January 31st. Lunch will be provided.
Who is this For?
If you are interested in learning more about how giving back is intrinsically tied to Judaism this class is for you! We will be engaging in direct service opportunities so get ready to make an impact and meet some incredible people.

Ivrits with Vits
Description:
Join us for a Beginner's Hebrew course led by Vita designed to help you feel more confident in a Hebrew-speaking environment. The course will cover the basics of reading and writing, with a primary focus on speaking skills. To make learning fun and engaging, we’ll use a variety of creative techniques and activities. Classes will be held once a week on Wednesdays, lasting 1.5 hours. At the end of the course, each student will receive a certificate of completion at the beginner level.
Timing
Wednesdays from 6-7:30 pm for 6 weeks (2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/18, 3/25). Dinner will be provided. This cohort will conclude with class graduation Shabbat on 3/28!
Who is this For?
This class is for everyone who wants to learn beginner-level Hebrew or improve his beginner Hebrew skills! We will be learning how to read and write, but mostly speak everyday Hebrew through different approaches.
